Richmond Ready EventS

We aim to host 2-4 events per year. Looking to the experts for our base knowledge, we also pull speakers from the neighborhood; those who are NET trained and those who have done their own preparedness. After all, what better way to learn preparedness tips and tricks than from our own neighbors!

In this space we will post our own events/forums as well as any other local emergency preparedness events that we are aware of. Realizing that most people have very busy schedules, by providing a list of local events we hope that everyone will find an opportunity to attend at least one emergency preparedness event a year.

Richmond Ready Event – Storing Water for an Emergency

When: Saturday June 2, from 2-4 pm
Where: Taborspace (see map)

Do you have a 14 day supply of water stored at your home? According to disaster experts, you should. But that’s a heavy lift. How much do you need? How do you store all that water? Where do you store it? How do you ensure that, when the big one strikes, you'll have a safe and reliable water supply for you and your family?

All are welcome to join Richmond Ready at the Taborspace Annex on Saturday June 2, 2-4 pm to get answers to your questions and to learn from others about their preparedness efforts. Jamaal Folsom, the emergency manager for the Portland Water Bureau, will be on hand to share his expertise and answer your questions. Please join us!
